PhD Students
Amanda Scardamaglia is completing her PhD at the University of Melbourne under the supervision of Professor Megan Richardson and Dr Chris Dent. Her project is concerned with the historical foundations of Australian trade mark law and the implications of this for the future. Amanda is also a casual research assistant.
Saba Elkman is undertaking a PhD in the Faculty of Law at the University of Melbourne under the supervision of Professor Megan Richardson and Professor Michael Bryan. His thesis addresses the moral justifications for Intellectual Property Law.
Emily Hudson is a PhD Student in the Faculty of Law at the University of Melbourne. Her thesis identifies lessons for Australian copyright law and practice, as it relates to public museums, galleries, libraries and archives, from the experiences of cultural institutions in the US and Canada. Her PhD forms part of a Linkage Project being conducted by IPRIA and the Centre for Media and Communications Law.
