IPRIA’s research addresses issues relating to the potential effects of the intellectual property system on economic prosperity and cultural well being.
Our research projects focus on questions relating to intellectual property in its broadest sense (that is, knowledge, personnel and intangible assets) and the legal regimes that provide rights to ownership of intellectual property.
The research agenda consists of 4 major themes that examine the role of intellectual property and intellectual property rights in the entire innovation cycle.
The 4 themes are:
- Measurement of Innovative Activity
- Drivers of Innovation
- Management and Commercialisation of Intellectual Property
- Appropriate Institutional Settings
